Outplacement

Finding a new direction

Redundancy is now an accepted part of organisational life. People often need support to adapt to the changes that redundancy creates. An outplacement programme can help deal with these changes and move forward into the next phase of a career or life.

Outplacement counselling can involve:

  • Coming to terms with personal change, redundancy or culture change
  • Understanding your achievements and skills
  • Clarifying your life goals and future career options
  • Agreeing a development plan
  • Receiving support through the changes
  • Producing a CV, marketing statements and job search letters
  • Help with searching for a job: research, answering adverts, networking and targeting
  • Practising interview techniques
  • Negotiating terms for a new job
